Saving Pollinators One Yard at Time

Our Mission

Pollinators are some of the most important and fascinating creatures on Earth, yet their populations continue to decline at an alarming rate. Ecologists widely agree that one of the biggest reasons is the loss of natural habitat. As lawns, development, and urban spaces continue to replace native ecosystems, bees, butterflies, and countless other pollinators are left with fewer places to live, feed, and reproduce.

At BeeBetter Lawn and Gardens, our mission is to help reverse that trend one yard at a time. We believe beautiful landscapes and healthy ecosystems should go hand in hand. By creating affordable pollinator gardens and urban prairie spaces, we make it possible for homeowners to transform underused sections of their yards into thriving habitat that supports biodiversity, reduces maintenance, and reconnects neighborhoods with nature.

Every native flower planted and every patch of prairie restored becomes part of something more significant. These spaces provide food, shelter, and nesting habitat for pollinators that our environment and food systems depend on. But beyond their importance to agriculture, pollinators are incredible creatures that deserve our protection and support.

Real environmental change does not only happen through governments or large organizations. It happens through individual action, community by community, yard by yard. Our goal is to make that action simple, affordable, and accessible so this movement can grow rapidly and create meaningful impact before it is too late.

Together, we can turn ordinary lawns into living ecosystems that benefit homeowners, pollinators, and future generations alike.

Will you join us in helping bring nature back to our neighborhoods?

The Process

How we create biodiverse, self-sustaining, and great-looking gardens that build habitat for pollinators

Circular patch of brown mulch in the middle of a green lawn, with trees and a fence in the background.

We start by choosing the best spot in your yard for the garden, then do the initial install

  • Areas where grass is struggling to grow and has lots of sun are best

  • We use a special seed mix that contains a 75% wildflower, 25% native grasses and designed specifically for benefiting pollinators

  • Depending in the size, this could cost as little as $200 and can be done in a day!

A circular flower bed in a grassy yard with various blooming flowers and green foliage, bordered by mulch, sunlight, and a wooden fence in the background.

Next, we need to guide the garden with some early maintenance

  • The first 2 weeks are most important, and the garden will need to be watered each day during this time for the best results

  • We will schedule a few times to come back out to pull weeds and re-seed to guarantee success

End results: It may take up to 2 years for full establishment

  • The garden becomes low maintenance and self-sustainable after fully established

  • At the end or beginning of each growing season, foliage clean out is optional, but not necessary to the sustainability of the garden
